Does the app collect data about my other apps or how I use them?
It only accesses usage data for apps you choose to restrict, using Apple's Screen Time system. It does not track unrelated app activity.
Can I still unlock my apps in case of emergency?
Yes. Flexible Mode allows temporary overrides. Strict Mode disables this by choice.
How much do I need to read to unlock apps?
By default, 1 page earns 2 minutes of app usage. You can adjust this between 1–5 minutes per page.
What kind of books can I use?
Any book with clear, scannable text, including physical books, PDFs, or screenshots.
Does the app require an internet connection?
Yes. An internet connection is required for OCR processing and question generation.
What happens if I scan the same page multiple times?
The system may detect repeated content and reduce or block additional rewards from the same page.
Do I have to manually unlock apps every time I want to use them?
Yes. You tap "Open" and choose how many minutes to unlock the app for. That time is then deducted from your balance.
What happens when I run out of minutes?
Restricted apps will remain locked until you earn more minutes or use an override (if enabled).
Can I choose which apps get locked?
Yes. You can select and change restricted apps at any time.
What if the app can't read the page I scanned?
You can rescan or upload a clearer image. Text must be readable for verification to work.
